Guidelines for Editors

As an editor for AI Med, you are part of a valued community and an integral part of disseminating high-quality peer-reviewed research.

Editors should apply the journal's scope, peer-review, confidentiality, conflict-of-interest, research-integrity, and correction policies consistently. Editorial decisions must be evidence-based, documented, and independent of personal or commercial influence.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editors assess submissions for scope, quality, integrity, and relevance; select suitably qualified independent reviewers; and make or recommend decisions based on the manuscript and available evidence.

Independence and Confidentiality

Editors must disclose and manage conflicts of interest, recuse themselves where necessary, protect confidential material, and keep commercial considerations separate from editorial decisions.

Integrity and Corrections

Editors should report suspected integrity concerns through documented editorial processes and support corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when the published record requires them.
