Prof. Duanduan Chen

Biography:

Chen Duanduan is a specially-appointed professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology. I have been engaged in image computing and biomechanical research for vascular system diseases. He/She serves as the deputy director of the Vascular Medicine Specialized Committee of the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals and the vice president of the Life Support Technology Branch of the China Medical Rescue Association, etc. She has presided over projects such as the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the National Ten Thousand Talents Program for Young Top-notch Talents. The scientific research achievements have been transformed into intelligent medical products through technology, which have been applied in many medical institutions and won the Second prize of Technological Invention of the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Military Science and Technology Progress, the Second Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress, etc. The teaching achievements have cultivated specialized talents in the intersection of medicine and engineering, and have been awarded the title of "Beijing Education Pioneer" and the second Prize of Beijing Teaching Achievements, etc.


Prof. xiaoying Tang

Biography:

Tang Xiaoying, a professor and doctoral supervisor, is the vice dean of the School of Life Sciences at Beijing Institute of Technology. She is also a member of the National Medical Device Technology Classification Expert Committee, the chairperson of the Medical Imaging Engineering and Technology Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, the vice chairperson of the Life Electronics Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the vice president of the Education Branch of the China Association of Medical Equipment, and a standing director of the Beijing Society of Biomedical Engineering. Mainly engaged in scientific research and teaching in the fields of biomedical engineering and communication and information systems, with in-depth research in biomedical signal detection and processing, medical image processing, and key technologies of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging equipment. In recent years, I have presided over and undertaken more than ten projects, including major research and development programs of China, 863 projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects, and national defense research projects. I have also developed a dual-band millimeter-wave therapy instrument. The multi-functional electroencephalogram (EEG) detection and analysis instrument based on high-order EEG spectra has been successfully industrialized. I have authored four monographs and participated in the compilation of three textbooks. I have published over a hundred major papers. Among them, more than 70 papers have been indexed by SCI. He/She has won the first prize of Excellent Teaching Achievements in Beijing and the title of Outstanding Moral Education Worker in Beijing's Colleges and universities.

Biography:

Professor at the School of Physics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Young Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, and a high-level overseas young talent introduced by the State. In 2021, he/she was selected as a "National High-level Overseas Young Talent" and a "2021 China's Emerging Science and Technology Figure". Sun Linfeng has presided over projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program for Young Scholars, the Key Research Program of Beijing Natural Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Xu Teli Young Scholar Start-up Program, and the Frontier Innovation Cross-disciplinary Program of Beijing Institute of Technology.

Sun Linfeng has long been engaged in research on the state regulation of new two-dimensional materials and the physical design of brain-like devices.


Dr. Xuehao Cui

Biography:

Dr. Xuehao Cui is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Cambridge Eye Unit, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and a PhD candidate in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge.

Dr. Cui’s research focuses on the intersection of ophthalmology and neuroscience, with particular emphasis on gene therapy, immunotherapy, and neuroregeneration for ocular and neurological diseases. His expertise encompasses areas such as glaucoma, retinal diseases, and cataract surgery .

He has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in translational research, aiming to bridge the gap between laboratory findings and clinical applications to improve patient outcomes in ophthalmology and neurology.

Biography:

Dr. Ming Wu is a highly skilled clinical surgeon and researcher specializing in targeted drug development and precision medicine. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Wu specializes in developing new therapeutic targets for diseases such as cancer, osteoporosis, and sarcopenia, with a focus on accelerating drug discovery using artificial intelligence and bioinformatics.

Currently working at Shanghai Naval Medical University, he combines clinical experience with cutting-edge research to develop innovative therapies. Breakthroughs have been made in the treatment of bone metastasis and osteogenic differentiation of lung adenocarcinoma, and several papers have been published in high-impact journals with a total impact factor score of more than 40 and a maximum of 14.3.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, he is an active reviewer of leading medical journals. His contributions to medical research have received several prestigious awards and recognitions, including the F5000 Honorary Certificate from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the honor of China's Leading High-impact Paper in 2022.

Biography:

Du Yang, a researcher and doctoral supervisor, is the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Molecular Imaging, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Mainly focusing on the research and development of new technologies for tumor multimodal molecular imaging and their clinical transformation and application, more than a hundred SCI papers have been published. Among them, as the first or corresponding author (including co-author), in comprehensive journals such as Nat Rev Clin Onco (IF:78.8, cover article) and Nat Rev Bioeng (IF 26.8), Cover article and Nat Commun (IF:16.6), Imaging journals Eur J Nucl Med Mol Imaging (IF:9.1) and IEEE Trans Med Imaging (IF:10.6) Clinical journals J Immunother Cancer (IF:10.9), BMC Medicine (IF:9.3) and EBioMedicine (IF:11.1), as well as materials journals Angew Chem Int Ed Engl (IF:16.6) A series of papers have been published in authoritative journals such as cover article, Adv Mater (IF:29.4), and Adv Sci (IF:14.3). Biography:

Xue Huadan, female, is a chief physician, professor, deputy director of the Radiology Department and director of the Radiology Department of the West Campus, and a doctoral supervisor. In 1995, I entered the 8-year clinical medicine Department of Peking Union Medical College for study and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2003. Since 2003, I have been working in the Radiology Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, successively holding positions as a resident physician, chief resident physician, and attending physician. Currently, I am an associate chief physician. The professional direction is CT and MRI imaging of the digestive and female reproductive systems. Over the past more than 10 years since October 2002, we have successively taken the lead in applying advanced equipment such as the first 16-slice spiral CT, the first 64-slice spiral CT, the first dual-source spiral CT, 1.5T high-field magnetic resonance, and 3.0T ultra-high-field magnetic resonance in the country to carry out related research and clinical application of various tumor imaging assessment methods represented by abdominal tumors. The Molecular Imaging Laboratory of the Department of Radiology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital was established in early 2008. Since 2004, as the first author, I have participated in 13 oral presentations or display board exchanges at international conferences (including the North American Radiological Congress and the European Radiological Congress, etc.), and have twice won the third prize for educational display boards at the North American Radiological Congress.

Biography:

Jiang Zhenqi, male, is currently a special associate researcher and a pre-appointed assistant professor at the School of Medical Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2020 and later joined Beijing Institute of Technology to conduct postdoctoral research. Mainly engaged in the research of new methods for disease diagnosis and treatment guided by molecular imaging. The main research directions include: the development of dynamic diagnostic and therapeutic probes guided by molecular imaging and their application in biomedicine, as well as clinical rapid detection technologies. Four related projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scholars and sub-projects of the Key Research and Development Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology have been undertaken. Currently, more than 30 papers have been published in internationally renowned SCI journals such as Adv Materials, JACS, Nano Today, and Nano Letters as the first or corresponding author. More than twenty patents have been applied for (including two PCT patents), and multiple awards have been received, such as the Young Outstanding Paper Award of the China Biomedical Engineering Conference and the Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellowship of Beijing Institute of Technology.

Biography:

Qin Jieling, with over a decade of rich experience in materials chemistry and analytical chemistry, is dedicated to using analytical chemistry as the main research approach, integrating the fields of medical testing, semiconductor science, and information devices. She conducts in-depth research on the design and preparation of electrochemical sensors and their early and real-time detection methods for chronic diseases, and is highly experienced. In the past five years, as the first or corresponding author, I have published SCI papers in high-level international journals of Analytical Chemistry such as Analytical Chemistry and Biosensors and Bioelectronics, which have been cited over 1,800 times, with an H-index of 15, and have been granted 7 patents. As the project leader, I have obtained six projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Youth Project, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission's "Sailing Program" for Young Science and Technology Talents, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission's Medical Innovation General Project, and the Shanghai Education Commission's "Morning Light Program", among others. Biography:
Kai is a radiology physician with a strong background in both clinical practice and imaging-based research. After graduating from Xiangya Medical School in China, he/she pursued advanced research at Johns Hopkins University, where he/she spent four years focusing on computer-aided diagnosis systems and artificial intelligence applications in thoracic imaging. During that time, his/her work concentrated on the early detection of lung cancer using CT imaging and deep learning-based models for predicting recurrence risk.
Currently, Kai is a clinic resident and fellow at The Ohio State University, where his/her primary focus is on patient care, particularly in the areas of cardiothoracic image. Alongside clinical responsibilities, he/she remains involved in research on pulmonary hypertension using advanced MRI techniques, contributing to ongoing efforts to improve diagnostic accuracy in cardiopulmonary disease.
Kai brings a combined expertise in clinical practice and medical imaging research, with a commitment to integrating technology into healthcare for improved patient outcomes.

Dr. Lianlian Wu

Biography:

Lianlian Wu is a research associate and clinical research fellow at the University of Cambridge, and formerly a deputy chief physician in China. She is dedicated to the early diagnosis and prevention of gastrointestinal tumors, with a core research focus on multi-omics integration, artificial intelligence, and early cancer detection. She has led and contributed to several high-impact projects, including the development of real-time diagnostic systems to assist in the detection of early gastrointestinal cancers during endoscopy, a system that has been successfully implemented in hundreds of hospitals; and the integrative analysis of epidemiological and genomic data to uncover biological transitions from precancerous to cancerous states in upper gastrointestinal tumors.
Her work spans algorithm development, translational research, and large-scale clinical trials aimed at advancing early cancer detection. She has published in high-impact journals such as The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology and GUT, and has led a National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project in China. In recognition of her scientific and technological contributions, she has received honors including Outstanding Young Scientist of Hubei Province, the First Prize of the Hubei Provincial Technological Invention Award, the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Association Award, and the China Patent Award of Excellence. Her ongoing research aims to bridge clinical needs with computational innovation, promoting precision diagnosis and individualized treatment strategies for gastrointestinal diseases.
